The laboratory mainly conducts modelling, decision, optimization, and system integration from fundamental and applied research aspects in production operation management, logistics and supply chain management.
The Advanced Manufacturing Technology Laboratory mainly conducts applied and fundamental research, technology development, and technology commercialization in advanced manufacturing systems and engineering. Up to date, it has successfully completed approximately 100 research, development and application projects. These projects were sponsored, in part or full, by the National High-Tech R&D Program, National Natural Science Foundation, National Key Technologies R&D Program, CAS Knowledge Innovation Program, industrial companies, and local governments. The Laboratory closely collaborates with academia, research institutes and industries home and abroad, including those from UK, France, New Zealand, Germany, Australia, and Macau. The collaborative research fields include system integration, distributed intelligent control systems, soft component technology, etc.
